It’s actually what our ancestors were doing for thousands of years before the patriarchy isolated women from each other, when the simple, soul-deep medicine of sisterhood was woven into everyday life, and. not something we had to pay for or manufacture. And it’s this beautiful solidarity and the alchemy that happens with it that we recreate in circles - we sit together without judgement, without competition, and without hierarchy. In Circle, we are all equal, and we are all there for the same reason - to connect with our femininity, with each other, and with our power!For many of us — especially as Muslim women — there are very few places where we can bring all of ourselves. We carry so much: the expectations of family, the weight of cultural norms, the pain of past experiences, the silence around certain topics. There is so much we need to unpack, but rarely are we given the space to do so.That’s why these circles matter.In a world that constantly pulls us outward — into busyness, distraction, comparison — the Circle calls us back inward. It says: Pause. Come home. And do the ‘work’ - of inner and outer empowerment, transformation and healing. The Women’s Circles I hold are deeply rooted in faith, culture, and community. They are grounded in Islamic principles of justice, compassion, and sacred sisterhood — while also honouring the very real lived experiences we carry as Muslim women navigating life in today’s world.Each Circle is unique, but the essence remains the same: we co-create a space of deep belonging. We share stories, we laugh, we cry, we reflect. Sometimes we journal, sometimes we meditate or recite affirmations, and sometimes focus on sharing and learning from each other.
