Today I'm sharing my Number 1 Rule for Muslim Women Starting Their Empowerment Journey - Keep it to yourself!!! When you start learning about your true Islamic rights, breaking free from patriarchal conditioning, and discovering the immense power you hold as a Muslim woman… keep it to yourself.&nbsp; Yes yes, I know—your mind is blowing open. You’re learning things that make you think, “Why didn’t I know this before?!” Naturally, you’ll want to share it with every woman you know, either to help them or because you’re so excited you just need to talk about it. But I would advise you to be very careful about who you tell - and I’m talking from experience! Very few people will understand what you’re going through. Some will question you, cast doubts, or even accuse you of straying from the faith. (I remember this one time I was at a family dinner, and we were having what I thought was an interesting conversation, until a close male relative slammed his fist down on the table and shouted that I was trying to change Islam! And this was a modern open-minded guy, a respected doctor, and someone who I thought was progressive!)&nbsp;Some may even feel threatened by your excitement and newfound high-vibe energy and try to pull you back down. All of this can plant seeds of doubt and stall your growth, simply because you’re not yet on solid ground. You’re still learning, digging, questioning, reflecting, and figuring what you really believe. True spiritual growth takes time, and it’s not a linear process. Sometimes it can even feel like you’re having a Dark Night of the Soul, when you have more doubts than certainty. Things need to unravel before they come back together again and it can feel…shaky (despite the excitement and the underlying feeling than you are really onto something!) And if you talk to the wrong people, it can create even more confusion - not to mention fear and guilt that you are ‘doing it wrong’.&nbsp; So here’s my sisterly advice: Protect your process. Keep it private. This is the part of your spiritual journey that needs to be a solo trip. Share only with those you trust completely to understand and support you (like inside a safe online community like the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener" href="https://www.we-rise.co.uk/risingsisterhood">Rising Sisterhood</a>). One day, you’ll reach a point where you embody your growth and empowerment so deeply that you won’t even need to talk about it. Your strength and authenticity will speak for itself.
